Why is there an anti-British conspiracy on every site I use?

Ok, I just looked at it... When I read the dialogue that followed, it never occurred to me that what was said could be taken as a direct anti-British movement, just because the person involved said "English P****".

The person involved was being accused apparently, of not using correct English or correct English grammar, not sure... But I was taking the response from her to be more in line with his anal issues regarding the language, than about any suggestion pointing toward anti-British issue she might have.

I'm not saying that it wasn't anti-British, I'm just saying that my perception of what was said at first-read did not inspire a thought of any anti-British intent. That possibility never occurred to me until I read your complaint.

Oh I agree with you! There is no need to use the word "English" in a derogatory context. What you are saying is very true, in that a language reference is most definitely racist. Try using any other language reference and that racial bias stands out to be even more obvious.

What tends to hide the anti-British slant however, is that we are all speaking English here on SW and when someone then says "English P****", it tends to get hidden from the subliminal aspect of English also being the language in use at the time of the conversation. No excuse, just a possible unjustifiable reason for the subliminal slander.
