It’s entirely up to the parent. It shouldn’t stress out anybody but it can help with socialization, gross motor skills, practice following directions from someone other then Mom and dad and give parents a short break. Even if it’s time to read a book while the child participates.

As a general rule, I would say it's okay for under-fives to be involved in an activity - so long as they're not being PUSHED into it and ENJOY what they are doing. My daughter first started cheerleading at the age of four. She continued on with that right up until she entered high-school where she realized the politics of cheerleading had forced her out of the squad. She became jaded and has never returned - choosing instead to excel in her studies. She was just inducted into the National Honor Society as a junior last week. 😏👍🏻

Yes... it’s called “pick up sticks in the yard” and “help mommy unload the dishwasher”
Personally.....i always thought ppl have their kids in too much too soon. (It's funny to see a 6 month old playing
t-ball! HAHA)
There is plenty time for sports and clubs and extra circular...in my opinion
That being said.....my kids entered the arena of sports much later in life and.....uhmmmm, uh 🙊kinda sucked. Lol....i say that in the most loving way.
Then....then....they yelled at me saying....why didn't you put me in dance?
🙄always the mom's fault..lol
My daughter is taking her first ballet class as a sophomore in college. 💕
I don't regret my decisions....if they would had shown interest at the time....i would have considered it.
Those times go by sooooo fast....just enjoy them....whatever you decide to do❤

@Thinking2much I agree, and why do the coaches always seem like the loudest, obnoxious yellers at the kids. Especially THEIRS!?
