I guess you're right though, I lack empathy for suggesting that it's a good idea to provide monetary aid and help to people suffering from a disaster. The empathetic thing to do would be to offer no help at all and tell the victims that they don't deserve it. Because that's what empathy means, having zero compassion or altruism.
