If you found a dead body, would you poke it with a stick?

I'd probably scream first, get into panick, search for a heartbeat in the palm or neck of that person, then call an ambulance, ... and if I'd be sure the person is dead I'd call an ambulance and say to send a police too and that I'll stay here until they get here, and say I didn't know how this person died or what happened, i just got here and discovered this person laying here.. You know, instead of just poking.. There are most likely family members being really worried who need answers you know...
