okay you had a very valuable ring...
i happen to have accidentally swallowed it...that ring was very valuable and you knew it was inside my throat... in your head you had a sharp blade... what would you do?

I would set the blade down. It's a ring, so it isn't going to choke you. You can retrieve it, but you have to pass it through a bowel movement.
