There's a thunderstorm raging outside

And it's so serene in a weird way. I wait for the claps of thunder and watch the bolts of lightening streak across the sky from my bedroom window. My room is right above the carport, so I can hear the rain drops hitting it.
It's so nice.

The tapping of the rain. The angry thunder. Impending doom.

It brings peace if you're used to driving through difficulties.

Eventually, the thunder dies out. An the air fills with that awesome scent of wet soil.

I don't love accidentally stepping on the earthworms that're trying to get across the pavement, but I do love the smell lol
