I love it when something breaks and I manage to fix it using some random household object. I feel like such a genius.

The flapper in my toilet broke because the plastic ribbon that is connected to the flush handle snapped off, so I took the laces out of an old shoe and tied it off around the rubber valve, and now it works flawlessly. I'm so proud of myself.
