@meggie Have you already purchased the house by the sea? Be aware that the shoreline has been moving perceptively every year. Be careful how high the house is and how far from the tideline.

@samueltyler2 yes we looked into that as the first choice was overlooking the sea, but we could see it could be a problem, as locals being charged £5000 a year for cliff retaining. So we will be further back in a gated community, but only 15 mins walk to the sea.

@meggie I will have to look that up. Is the water there swimmable? Is the area like any of the tv shows i watch from UK?
