Got horribly sick suddenly yesterday

I woke up for work normal, laid in bed for a hour, felt quite warm. Had my face uncovered the whole night, but a blankey over the top of my head like a cap.

As soon as I sat up, my body froze and I started the movements for vomiting. I started a weird paychosomatic thing last year when brushing the tongue when I would do this, and once when getting up when the weather first turned into the 30s I did this as well when getting out of the van (body froze then vomited).

I was expecting it to be just that. Didn't feel bad, the shirt I had been wearing was a loss (was changing it at the time), and went to work. Then I started vomiting and tearing up twenty minutes later infront of the neighboring building I work for.

I got into work, started feeling bad and dizzy. Went through the first half hour. Then sat a hour on a toilet. Went back to work. I eventually had to lie down, really nothing for me to do at work, but didn't want to be caught laying down, and remembered a remote old fashion bathroom with a large toilet you couldn't see into and a door that could only be opened from the inside, and laid down in there for a hour. It's behind multiple locked doors, so only staff could find it.

Rest of the day was like that, a constant lurch between pretending to work (nothing really needed to be done) and recovery. On my 20 minute walk back, I vomited at nearly the same distance as that morning. I was wise not to eat during the day.

Drove to the cheapest hotel I knew of, and been there all night. Spent a half hour in the tub with the shower hitting my chest.

Tried dialing out on my phone the number I was given to call off at 4:30 am and it didn't work on my cell phone or room phone. Went to the front desk, didn't work on their phone. I had to call the hotel operator directly at just the minute you are required to call two hours off early for.

Usually this psychosomatic vomiting isn't followed by a fever. I just vomit and get upset it happened and move on. So I am most likely legitimately sick. The cold air is shocking me into vomiting at roughly the same distance to long exposure to the cold, so that seems a physical trigger and not a mental one.

Guess I'll have to hit the mall after checkout and buy a scarf. I haven't used one since I lived in alaska. The cold air wasn't bothering me in lake erie or all night in the van, so don't get it.

For my symptoms, best I can find online is either cold stress or norovirus. Puke is bright green when it comes out, but managed to eat and keep down food overnight. I just don't want to barf it all up again walking in the dark to work. I still feel sick, just not as bad.

Getting back in the tub and then going back to sleep. I keep thinking of the word Watling Street for some reason. Weird mental fixation. I know what it is, old roman road in england, but it is weird to have it keep popping into your head when in a fever.
Get well soon.. should legit took a sick day off work tho
@SStarfish I'm feeling better now, checked out of the hotel and am scarf hunting. I stopped wearing them after I left alaska because I noticed it was more a fashion statement than utility for guys to wear. I gotta bring in my old italian coat from the 50s to match my scarf up to. If I start having a gagging fit again I'll just wear it over my mouth. I just don't want to turn into one of those meteosexual guys.
@Dignaga ok 😅
