Cop Keeps Showing Up In This Isolated Rural Trail Parking Lot
It has happened at least twice. First time I coincidentally work up at 4am when I had my alarm set for 5am, and got on my phone to look at the web, and a car drove up with white LED lights, went past the other car parked on the trail parking, and went straight for me- parked diagnal to me rear- didn't hear a door open and hid under my navy blue covers- which is excellent camouflage. Then he drove off.
Happened again just now. Just lying in the back, and had my rear facing the trail away from view, same vehicle pulled up, diagnal, white lights shooting through my minivan, and he dismounted, walked to my rear. Then got back in, stayed a few minutes, and drove off with his police lights flashing.
So I know it is a cop for certain. I'm not understanding why the carpool people don't get visited but I do. Tonight wasn't unreasonably late either, this happened around 9:30PM and it is 46°F.
Nobody else gets checked, it is a deeply rural area, no nearby houses, so even if he knew I was in there- where would he tell me to move to that wasn't more isolated than this spot? It's not like people are calling in to report me as they can't see me.
He just really likes checking my licence plate. Some weird joy out of it. Submit my licence plate number to his boss to prove he is checking licence plates.
So unless he's seen me while passed out, and didn't knock, all I am is a empty carpool vehicle using a hiking trail lot, and not even the only one. I'm scratching my head what is so important about just my licence plate. I do move the van, it isn't always the same spot, and not there most nights. Just stumped.
