EZPass Transponder Questions

I'm thinking about getting a EZPass Transponder. Google maps keeps trying to throw me on Turnpikes despite having that setting blocked, and gotta make a few multistate trips soon, to Massassachuttes and NY.

I don't have a mailing address, so having tolla mailed to me isn't happening, I live full time in my van. If it is mailed, I won't know about it, and eventually they will just yank my licence if not jail me.

So if I get a online account with a transponder, and give my bank info, will I be able to avoid the mailing issue? Or will I have to chart my trip on backroads town to town, recalculating each time, to avoid turnpikes?

Your whole issue is getting your hands on the transponder and how. They want a credit card and a sum paid forward before using it. After that they usually add on $50 dollars each time your usage goes over. That's how it worked when I had one. I sent it back when they, Maryland, started charging a monthly fee just for having it. I didn't use it enough to be bothered with it at that point.
@Gibbon I can buy it from a store not too far where I rent a parking spot for work, so I can buy it there. It has a 10 year battery so I won't have to give up a USB spot.

As long as nothing comes in the mail I should be good. I just don't know if they do some charges just by mail but not online.

@Motzu That I can't answer these days. Do you own your van? What does the MVA have for information for your tags?
The EZpass in MD is handled through the MVA and I imagine completely online these days.
If you have a unit in your hands I would think you'd only need supply the Serial number.
