Oriental Mart

I went to the Oriental Market today. Found a new tea I am going to try, as I recognize Kumquat and Passion Fruit as being real fruits. Also some Kim Chi and Dried Lemon Slices.

I was really hoping for some Butane, they had three varieties kf butane stoves but no bhtane cans for sale. I don't know how that works.

I also saw some ideal cheap van camping proteins- dried shrimp, dried squid, and dried cuttlefish. I don't really eat seafood though. Ironically I do on very rare occasions eat squid if it is deepfried and crispy and doesn't look like squid. Managed to eat it once as a child that way, but I definately don't eat shrimp, that's a straight up bug.

So if you can eat those things and stay in a van, help yourself. Most of the tea was off limits to me because it was loose tea, and don't need some cop searching my stuff thinking it was weed.

Also asians eat frogs. I did not know that. I was half tempted to buy one and release it, I had a pet frog as a kid, but it doesn't look like any north american species I've ever seen and don't care to start a invasive species issue. Plus winter is literally hitting now and it woukd die from that if not the butcher's knife in about the same timeframe. I saw a couple old retired white men with their asian wives walking around the store. Asian women might be really cute and lovely but they eat some freaky stuff. I had a vietnamese step mother, she made my grandfather very happy, but I just couldn't have a wife looking at frogs licking her lips. That's not right.
