Peru-Beautiful Country

I love to travel. I went to Peru and had an awesome time. I live below sea level. Lima, Cuzco and Macchu Piccu is about 14,000 ft above sea level and i had trouble. I took altitude sickness meds but they caused my fingers and toes to tingle. I tried the coca leaves and tea but nothing helped.

Lima Beautiful city

Macchu Piccu-we flew into Cuzco. took a flight, then 3 hr train ride, 1 hr bus ride and then the climb. They only allow a certain number to enter the site per day. Our weather was beautiful.

The oldest house in Peru. Dates back to the Maya time. This is an altar in the house. and there are real skulls. They raise guinea pigs to sell and eat.

That's really beautiful!!! When did you go to Peru? The Incas left some fabulous ruins for everyone to explore!!

@Barefooter25 the Incas were also good at keeping secrets. Especially about the locations of their mountain cities .

@akindheart they never told the Spanish conquistadors in the 16th century , and it stayed hidden for almost 400 years .

@akindheart I’m sooo jelly. I made it to nasca. It was January and the roads to Cusco were flooded out . A helicopter from Lima would have been 350. I regret not spending the 350.
