I love to travel. I went to Peru and had an awesome time. I live below sea level. Lima, Cuzco and Macchu Piccu is about 14,000 ft above sea level and i had trouble. I took altitude sickness meds but they caused my fingers and toes to tingle. I tried the coca leaves and tea but nothing helped.

Macchu Piccu-we flew into Cuzco. took a flight, then 3 hr train ride, 1 hr bus ride and then the climb. They only allow a certain number to enter the site per day. Our weather was beautiful.
The oldest house in Peru. Dates back to the Maya time. This is an altar in the house. and there are real skulls. They raise guinea pigs to sell and eat.

@akindheart Lima is literally a coastal / port city. You have a photo of Waikiki Beach , right in front of the Marriott casino. I surfed that beach like 20 years ago .
