Why do Americans know so little about the rest of the world?

American news outlets are pretty self centered and from a young age Americans are told what to think. Which I guess is true for most people but definitely what I experienced. Propaganda starts with news outlets.

Americans are conditioned to know very little about truths and a lot about lies. They're kept in fear to keep them controlled. It's really sad.

Geographic isolation, no longer require foreign languages in schools, too much nationalism, lack of geography in schools, and nationalistifpc `ego.`
