Glastonbury Tor , Somerset , England , mid winter

I have climbed up the Tor many times. Grandpa used to love Glastonbury before the New Agers ruined the town.

I go up there whenever I get the chance, once or twice a year. Just to sit on the east side out of the wind and relax and feel the gentle weight of the centuries. Occasionally I might chat with a like minded person. Slightly more often the mood is disturbed by some loud party who don't seem to feel anything, but usually they only stay a few minutes thank goodness.

A lovely scene. As well as the building itself I like the light and shadows effects across the frosty fields.
