Friendship breakups are a different kind of pain.

It’s not like a big fight all the time, sometimes it’s just the slow fading of calls, the “I’ll reply later” that turns into weeks, the inside jokes that stop making sense. One day, you realize you don’t know what’s going on in their life anymore, and they don’t know yours. It’s weird how someone who used to be your safe place can suddenly feel like a stranger. You try to accept that people change, priorities shift and paths separate… but it still hurts. Because it’s not just losing a friend, it’s losing all the little moments, all the comfort, all the versions of yourself that existed when they were around.

Yes and it rips away all you thought you knew with them. Everyone needs a safe place, where they can just be themselves, why some say friendships are more needed than a romantic relationship, I don't agree with that because I always kept my partners as my best friends. All moments that trace your heart are almost lost, and where they stay is almost like torture must I feel this? I will choose keeping them in my heart, even if it hurts more, without knowing how much they think of me? I understand somewhere now, the only who can comfort me, is me..

I have a friend, we would hang out all the time, for 27 years!!!! Met each other in middle school. We had so many fun times. Few years ago she just stopped texting or calling, cold turkey. She DID make a passive aggressive remark to me prior to that about my life , which hurt, but to end our entire friendship??? That truly was a punch in the gut as if we were never friends at all. It just felt really BAD at that time, realizing we don't even know friends as well as we thought 😧

I’m sorry if my reaction shows differently, I hit it by mistake. Usually it’s something w/phone, but not this time.. lol

I feel ya btw.. it’s sad when it happens.

I’m at the point in my life where I just need to break up with everyone else.
