Woman finds (possibly) world's oldest message in a bottle
I always thought it would be great to find a message in a bottle washed up on the beach. A woman found one on the Jersey Shore that may date to 1876, Inside was a note about a yacht and and an ad.
Seems a little odd to put something like this in a corked bottle and toss it in the sea, but somehow it's still a really cool find. Seems amazing this thing was just floating around out there for almost 150 years.
O haaaay im ina subreddit for lost messages in a bottle :) its pretty cool to find this stuff and it goes for thousaaaandsss at auctions if ya can prove its 100% accurate
@TryingtoLava she found this bottle on a beach I hit a few times every summer. If I'd have found it I wouldn't sell it. I'd put it on a prominent shelf in my house and dream about all the places it's been every time I look at it.
