Do you rely on Yelp when visiting in a new place?

Ehh, I’m not a fan of yelp. I don’t feel like the reviews accurately depict the places, especially since yelp pressures businesses into paying to hide lower ratings.
It’s pretty common for business hours and other things to be listed wrong, and yelp doesn’t let you see much without logging in. I’d just rather look elsewhere.

I want it all adventurous so I try to explore myself asking locals in there.
No, I use word of mouth and I just try restaurants where the menu looks good

All the time...especially auto dealers and new restaurants.

Particularly restaurants.
I use tripadvisor, I just found a great campsite on there that is saving me tons of money in the summer as hotels are ridiculously priced here now. I'm not paying 1200 for three days in a mediocre place.

I like to live on the edge and not go onto yelp
That didn’t even occur to me. But it’s a good idea, lots of helpful info.
