Start volunteering, be more social, go to a bar or cafe and just read, go to a part of town that interests you park and walk around.
The biggest thing is putting yourself out there!!

@WildernessWriterExplorer the few friends i have are the ones that plan those stuff.. that's typically the last thing on my mind.

@darknessprevails we need to get that social group up my guy. Being adventurous is a lot easier with friends. I volunteered at an animal shelter and it extremely helped my social anxiety and built my friend base. What are your interest?

@WildernessWriterExplorer thinking a bit more on this.. some commom excuse i make to myself... "its too cold". Though ive done a lot better lately. This past year ive made the few friend i have.
Hm, i enjoy eating out (though gets expensive), golf is alright, fishing, etc..
One of the biggest problems i have is getting close to people and they end up asking invasive questions trying to find out how they can get what i got $$.
Which i dont mind helping people make money and giving thrm advice.. but dont try to take from me.i sense envy from many people.

Just go somewhere. Dont pick a destination. Figure it out along the journey

@GuyWithOpinions yeah, not a bad idea

Start small.
Take a toe dip outside of your comfort zone.
Try a little something new.
Then work your way up.
Baby steps.
Be responsible. Happy adventuring.

Push yourself to go out. Take a day trip and just go explore. Invite a friend out for lunch or dinner and just talk and have fun.

@OlderSometimesWiser hmm.. idk.. for example.. i dont see going to the statue of liberty as something that interests me.
@darknessprevails But there’s a gazillion other things to see in the NYC area that might interest you.
darknessprevails · 26-30, M
@OlderSometimesWiser i'll take a look deeper into it.
By the time I was your age I was already a veteran of greyhound and amtrak, I was very spontaneously adventurous.
