Question about sharing a room

Poll - Total Votes: 10
Totally ok as long as he doesn't partake in the group outings
Not ok but if no one finds out...
Definitely something that should be discussed and approved by group guide

I'll be traveling to Europe in August. I'll be part of an organized group tour. I have a friend that lives in the country I'll be visiting, but is from outside the city I'll be in. We would like to meet up. Would I get in trouble for allowing him to share my room if he's not part of the group?

Serious answers only, and especially if you're sure of the answer as opposed to guessing.

Don't put others at risk by letting this person around the group without their knowledge.
I understand you trust him, but you should respect the others.
@calicuz I think you misunderstood. He would NEVER participate with the group, not even the breakfast which is included in the room price. He would only share time with me out and about when we have ''free time" blocks (not with the group) during the trip. And my room since he would be from out of town and needs to sleep somewhere.

@uniqueness1

Ok, I still think you should tell the group leaders.
