Because my husband had summers off from work, we loved taking road trips by car. It took only a few seasons to spend time in all 50 states plus all the Canadian provinces and territories (before Nunavut.) It wasn't a goal, it just happened. We've now been to all of them at least twice except just once in Hawaii. Though 50 is just a number, we like knowing what each of them looks like along their back roads while enjoying their sights, foods and folks. We were getting back home from a cross-country only months before Covid. We've gone nowhere since.
