Nope. I don't count the tarmac at Heathrow having been to England. Wasn't even a layover. Never got out of the plane.

Haha yea but I always say "been to the airport"
GoFish ·
@mindstruggle same 😅
LunarOrbit · 61-69, M
Depends how good the lay was.

🏃🏽‍♂‍➡
Jenny1234 · 56-60, M
@LunarOrbit one hour 😂
LunarOrbit · 61-69, M
@Jenny1234 Ahhhh. A quickie!

I think probly not then for an hour. Maybe 4 hours or an overniter.
Kiesel · 56-60, M
Well heck yeah! lol
IM5688 · 70-79, M
Well if they stamped my passport, then legally I've been to that country.
DownTheStreet · 56-60, M
I think you have to leave the airport to qualify
StygianKohlrabi · 46-50, M
well you have been there to the airport toilet
fanuc2013 · 51-55, F
For example. I've been to LAX several.times on layovers but I've never been to California
Chiefjustice · 46-50, M
No, thats is cheating, instead i would say, i visiting the dash dash airport.
Degbeme · 70-79, M
Technically yes. See the country, no.
CelticGal · 18-21, F
If you got out of the terminal and actually into the country, passing customs and passport control, then yes, you have physically been to that country. If that layover was solely a few hours spent in transit or in a hotel within the premises of the airport, then obviously, you cannot say you have been to that country.
Chiefjustice · 46-50, M
@CelticGal Agreed!
swirlie · 31-35, F
No, you would technically be in the Land of iCloud until 7 days had elapsed from your time of touchdown and you had accumulated at least 600 selfies of yourself walking the beach with some white dude with dreadlocks who originally farmed potatoes in Iowa but who now lives on the beach full-time with his parents and only after that point could you technically say that you'd been to that country.
AthrillatheHunt · 51-55, M
I don’t count Singapore Doha Panama City Honduras Martinique Poland São Paulo bc I’ve only been in the airports
GoFish ·
for a layover yeah but it was just the airport in my case.. some people actually go out and tour around a lil
Chiefjustice · 46-50, M
Its like someone saying i had sex, when they got their dick stroked or female part rubbed but penetration.
only if you stepped out of the airport and set foot on the ground
you can only count it as being there if you use the restroom
Teslin · M
@saragoodtimes Yes, you must leave some DNA for it to count.
AthrillatheHunt · 51-55, M
@Teslin I try and leave dna wherever I go (saliva urine blood semen) so that when aliens come here in 300 million years and piece together our story they will know where I’ve been
TexChik · F
yep, I count a layover as being there, or a stop and refuel
GerOttman · 70-79, M
Iceland, we landed got off the plane, the place smelled like fish. Got back on the plane and still smelled like fish. Oh, and the Azores on the way over. Both on US airbases, so I'm not sure if I was actually in the country.
FreddieUK · 70-79, M
Only in the same way as I would if I had to change trains in a town or city I wouldn't otherwise have gone to. 'I've been through it,' would probably be my response.
Nope doesn’t count.
Lol…… I think about that sometimes, especially when watching one of my K-Dramas as I had a layover in South Korea. If I say I’ve been there, just feels like I’m kidding myself. 😅
