Why is business class so expentive on planes

The airlines make most of their money off 1st and Business Class. If that's full the rest of the cargo is pure profit, I'm told.

Cattle class pricing is based on the need of the airline to survive financially. If they have to drop the price further to compete, they will. Business or first class are different. They are based on how much the market will bear.. In other words. if they can charge more and the seat still gets filled, they will..😷

It's marketed as a premium product and is priced accordingly. It actually involves little additional cost for the airline and hence the profit margin is good. Think of it like designer clothing. You pay for the label and the exclusivity. It's not like the clothing is made of gold.

Because It's for people who can't afford first class but don't want to use Economy.

Because they know you have a job

classier stuff cost more

Because they have to get their money profits up and they figure folks in Business class have no problem paying more for business class.

Because it's for rich people. Thats why its called buisiness class, buisiness people are usually rich
