What’s the furthest north you’ve ever been?

I’ve been inside the arctic circle in Finland at a latitude of 67.8N. Mainland Europe doesn’t extend much more than that but in Canada and Russia there are more options.

Perhaps one day I’ll make it to Svalbard to go polar bear and whale watching. They have great vodka and saunas up there too.

Siglufjörður, Iceland, 66.15° north. For comparison, the Arctic Circle is at 66.56° north, so just shy of that.

@ElwoodBlues I drove around Iceland. I can't remember if I actually went to that town, though...
@walabby You probably drove past it at least. I'm pretty sure it's on the main ring road 'highway.' I remember seeing the 66° on my phone GPS.

P.S. I had to go digging in google maps to find the name!

@ElwoodBlues That map looks very familiar. I do remember some talk about being very close to the Arctic circle. We probably even spent the night there.
