One of my favorite parts of going to a foreign country

Is going to the grocery store and browsing all these ordinary options that I've never seen before.

It's the everyday things which makes a country familiar or strange. I enjoy looking at the details in different countries, but especially in Europe, trying to find an affordable souvenir which is actually made in a specific country can be quite difficult because our global trading means that we get most things everywhere. The foreign language is on the packaging is about all that distinguishes some products.

When I went to Canada, I did enjoy going into Walmart simply because of the novelty. I was also introduced to Tim Horton's which then was a Canadian speciality, but now is just another international chain and we have them all over the UK now.

I get it.. All my trips to America, my biggest regrets. I never saw the inside of a Walmart. And never saw an IHOP. And yes, I know how that sounds to Americans..😷

@HoeBag You mean the real Americans? 😉

@whowasthatmaskedman There were some real Americans in Walmart this day.
r3tards, people covered with tattoos, baby mammas, cr33py uncle Fester, and that guy who sniffs bike seats.

@HoeBag Yep... Real Americans.....😷
That happens to me every time! I look at everything and want to try this and that, even if the label is in a language I don't understand, I go by the picture lol. It's a hit-and-miss kind of thing but it's interesting to taste something different☺
yes americans often do this in britain, saying they cant understand our 'english' ,or we dont have crushed ice in pubs,or mcdonalds doesnt taste the same,oh you odnt have aircon, in a cold country no, doh i could go on

A tourist is someone who goes to a foreign country to see something different and then complains because it isn't the same as at home.
DDonde · 31-35, M
@newjaninev2 which is not what I'm doing, to be clear
