What if.. we built EVs that could carry 100+ people?

We could run them on tracks between cities. And charge like equivalent $30 a ticket.

We could call it…high speed rail!

you mean like the one california "has" that's cost over $100 billion and goes absolutely nowhere? 🤔

@wildbill83 oh I know Americans don’t have the smarts to build a cheap, efficient, fully functioning high speed rail link.

I wasn’t referring to your country.

@wishforthenight right...

we can put a man on the moon, send rovers to mars, and rule the seven seas, but we don't know how to build a passenger train... 🙄

@wildbill83 Embarrassing, isn't it? Not that you've sent anyone to the moon for 50 years and you don't rule the seven seas and never did. And you most certainly cannot build a passenger train.

America used to be great once.

@wishforthenight no other country in the world has the force projection we do; a single US naval task force has more firepower than many country's combined military's do.

We have plenty of passenger trains, but due to geography and sheer landmass, they're not widespread; you Europeans just can't seem to comprehend how big the US is compared to European countries (It takes longer to drive across Texas alone than the UK)

Our freight train network is second to none; Europe has about 94,000 miles of rail dedicated to puny passenger trains; we have 140,000 of rail dedicated to freight trains that can have a combined weight of over 20,000 tons moving more cargo in a day than many european countries can move in a week...
