It’s a balancing act with the finances. I’m very frugal in day to day life but much more likely to let it fly in terms of travel within reason. If we’re taking long flights, I’ve begun springing for first class seats, because it usually comes with lounge access for layovers and is just a night and day difference in terms of the experience. I’m also going to spend money on trying as much of the local food as we can. My favorite type of vacation is to avoid a locked in itinerary and just explore, and if we happen upon something cool that costs money, so be it.
