I like Asheville NC but also interested in Greenville SC - not sure if it's what you're looking for but those places are interesting to me....

@Souls Lol - well I'm 65 - but not quite ready to retire - but Asheville is considered the San Francisco of the south - it has an artsy vibe, it is scenically beautiful and not far from great hiking and outdoor activities....Greenville seems similar, not far from Asheville and less expensive, good culinary scenes also... I really like Pittsburgh too (but it does have winter)
