There’s nothing wrong with being FROM Ohio. Choosing to live there is a different story. Same w Nu Joizy.

@NativePortlander1970 no state tax , access to Philly. Could be worse .

@AthrillatheHunt Haha, from Ohio and definitely just visiting. Place has definitely gone downhill over the last twenty years.

@ViciDraco I know what you mean. I’m from NJ. Haha
@AthrillatheHunt Rampant crime, super expensive housing and utilities, rude grocery checkers, in fact super rude everyone, and DuPont controls all politics.

@NativePortlander1970 I took a girlfriend up there in 2006 and she was all "Everyone's so nice and friendly here." Ten years later that same person was saying "Everyone is so sour and bitter."

The 2008 crisis hit and Ohio got hit hard. It still hasn't fully recovered and the people are just so full of anger and spite after stewing in the misery for so long

@NativePortlander1970 DuPont is also the reason for no state tax. Double edged sword for sure .

@AthrillatheHunt They are also why Cannabis and hemp are illegal, conspiring with William Randolph Hearst in the 1930's to do so.

@AthrillatheHunt about three quarters of the place is in deep poverty and it reflects it very strongly. And then the gentrified areas aren't very welcoming unless you have cash
@ViciDraco Gentrifying is probably the most racist act of all, how it forces Minorities out of long established neigborhoods, I have seen such areas go from rich cultural spots to hipster hells.
