Let's go to Talkeetna, Alaska

I spent a night in Talkeetna on my way to Denali. That was in early July when it stays light 24 hours a day.

Been there. Very cute town. EXPENSIVE however.

@SumKindaMunster Everything seems expensive in Alaska.

@Musicman Oh dude, that is the understatement of the year. It's crazy expensive in Alaska. I was in Fairbanks a few years ago and they were selling bananas INDIVIDUALLY for $1.59. I can get a giant bunch of bananas here from the local produce place for a couple of dollars.

@SumKindaMunster I like watching RV videos on YouTube. There is a channel there called Endless Adventure. They were in Alaska a few weeks ago and posted a video from a grocery store. The prices were outrageous! 😳
@Sevendays Oh, then try Delta Junction next time.
Sevendays · M
@Dignaga will do.
@Sevendays Let me know if the yellow porn castle is still there when you do. And if you drive through Houston, Alaska, if the pink bra inflated gorilla is still facing the frontier guarding the fireworks shack.

Nice skyline.

Interesting little town

Is that your camper truck? I definitely wouldn't go there in the winter.

@Sevendays A friend of mine rented one for a trip from Memphis Tennessee to Galveston Texas in the summer. The rental company would only let him run the generator for an hour a day. They parked at families house with no plug in. They were miserable.
Sevendays · M
@Musicman I didn't have any time restrictions on the generator.

@Sevendays That's how it should be. They wound up sleeping on the floor of her brother's house because the RV was just to hot in the summer with no AC.
