We once had a nice weekend in Clacton.

I love the Town Hall . A great example of municipal architecture from the 1930s in neo Georgian style.
I always think of Clacton as ' Walmington on Sea' 😂

[@Denise61its actually a prosperous retirement town for wealthy Londoners . It has 3 banks , my Devon town withsame population has none .
Good golf courses and a great coastline .
Excellent rail links to London .

Actually not true. It’s in or bordering on the edge of East Anglia and the driest place in the country. I live Felixstowe Suffolk. While many parts of the country has a lot of rainfall especially west and north. We on average get far far less and is often dry as a bone in the summer. Our gardens are brown, fields are dusty and our trees are less green.
