passport musings and recollections of past travel experiences
My second ex recently asked me to sign a passport application for my 7 y/o daughter as she's intending to take her on an overseas holiday around the middle of next year. My ex paid off her house a couple of years ago (she's currently 49) and she has plenty of money now so all power to her and my daughter is looking forward to it.
I haven't had a passport for myself for almost 20 years and can't afford to travel, esp overseas (outside Australia), especially since I've had a mortgage. My last trips outside Australia (my only ones) were to Canada in 1996 and USA in 1997 both traveling by myself before my first now adult child (who just recently had her first child) was born.
Do you have a passport, or have you had one in the past and chose not to get a replacement when it came up for expiry?
If you don't have one, do you want to get one? Do you want it for travel, or just for ID purposes?
