🤔...........I love the North Shore area of Chicago. Chicago is an awesome city with plenty of sites to see and things to do. Stay away from the South side of Chicago! I don't live their but have been their many times. Since you have never been there, I would not go into the City, unless you are with someone who knows the way around the city and areas to stay away from.

Chicago has a few skyscrapers, a huge train system and Lake Michigan on Lake Shore Drive. I have never heard it called beautiful before.

"Travel" can mean many things. Today sadly it often means getting to a destination as quickly and cheaply as Possible, seeing nothing and no one while packed into a mass transit airport, onto a cramped plane, back into another mass transit airport thousands of miles away and having "seen" nothing of the expanse you just covered.. Whenever possible, travel at a human pace and feel the distance of the journey. Meet people and learn something of how they live..😷

There are some nice areas in or near Chicago. Like any other big city, be careful where you go there

A very scary violent city. I lived there for a while after college and I enjoyed it but after a year I'd had enough.

Chicago is filthy. I was there once and that's more than enough. I will say millennium park is nice.

It certainly was. World class restaurants and culture have been ruined by woke ideology. I know the area well and stay away from the city these days. Areas that were formally safe and friendly are now questionable at best. Even River North and the Mag Mile have their troubling moments. Be careful.

Stay north of the loop and in sight of the lake. I was there for two years back in the 70s and it’s gotten really rough since then.

If you go, be sure to see the B’hai temple just north of the city in Evanston and take Lake Shore Drive (LSD) to get there.

So is Cincinnati.

I love downtown and the North side of Chicago. Beautiful city

I was just there, and have been three times in the last year. Nice city, lots to do. Be sure to take the river boat architectural tour.

It has beautiful parts. I stay away from downtown areas if I can bc of how crowded and loud it can be

spring and fall
winter is HELA cold.
summer is an Oven
I love the museums and the music scene
