How much pocket money should I have for a 2 week trip to the states? (In addition to the travel fees)

That really depends upon where you are going and what you want to do. You could (in addition to hotels and travel) have a good time on $2500, but you could also spend $4000 +.

Itinerary will dictate the cost.
