How much pocket money should I have for a 2 week trip to the states? (In addition to the travel fees)

I've spent between $1500 and $2000 in a week there, before the spike in inflation (2014 & 2018). But I was staying in a hotel and food/drinks on-site of those are always extra expensive. I didn't have any meals there, but had to stay close and places across the street may still be in between hotel prices and regular competition. And I've had some alcohol (maybe 10 beers throughout the week), which are easily $7 for a regular bottle of standard pilsner. (Here the equivalent for that is maybe $3.00-$3.50 in cafes, even today.)
