What is one’s favourite time of day when going on a plane?

Am or pm for example. Including how long the flight is like domestic etc

Definitely during daylight hours. I'd like to see the view. The cheapest flights are the ones that occur at night. No view.

General rule of thumb is that I check on what time I will be arriving at the destination, in whatever their time zone is, and back track from there.

I like getting at places late morning/early afternoon. Enough time to unpack, relax and then go out for an evening meal.

So, Europe? Early in the morning. America/Canada? Depending on connecting flights.

Depends how long the flight is and whether there's a different time zone at the other end.
I like to be on the same time when I leave
Early morning with a solid overcast. Makes for a dramatic ascent, and a stunning sunrise.

Often you break cloud in a banking turn, onto standard departure tracks; parallel to other turning aircraft.

For a moment, it's a bit of formation flying; above a world of glorious perfection.

For me if its regional I take the first flight out and last flight in to maximise time on a short trip.

For a longer one it depends on price, layover time and if I need to minimise jet lag

Arriving at the destination - and I don't mean the airport.

I like AM, before the pilot gets sleepy.

Coming into an airport late at night for a long layover sucks as nothing is open. But on the other hand it is a lot less crowded. When going to Singapore from the US we'd usually end up in Japan or Korea in the afternoon then land in Singapore late in the evening.

Am but not 6 am more like 9 am so I get to my destination in the morning or afternoon
