I was there last month.

Went to the Cream Tea Café and had rhubarb and yoghurt cake with clotted cream and a pot of tea. Teapot and tea strainer!

The whole look and feel of England changes a lot once you go from 'South-East- to 'South-West'. As for the Wimpy bars, they are a time-honoured institution! Last time I looked, there was one in the town I grew up in, in the outer suburbs of London. When I was a sixth-former the standard bun cost 20p!

Used to love Wimpy’s. Barnstaple is a town I have never visited, despite knowing Devon and Cornwall fairly well. Now I have another reason for visiting!
