How to travel internationally?

Like where do you go to get your passport and Visa? And do you always need a Passport and Visa? Or just when going into further away or possibly unfriendly countries?

How easy or hard is it?

I've seen a Customs show in Europe, seemingly showing them reject a lot of people from international, but of course they're just showing the most exciting case they can find and the people that pass by probably aren't exciting.

Varies by country but you go to a federal centre (Service Canada here but whatever), take a bunch of ID with you, stand in line for forty hours, and eventually get a passport.

To get into a country you then need a visa. The visa authorizes how long you are there and what for.

The entry requirements vary by country. As a Canadian I can just show up at the American border, say I'm a tourist, and get across no problem.

If I wanna travel to Cuba, I need to apply and get the visa before travelling because they have stricter border laws.

@CountScrofula And if I M not mistaken Canadian federal law still states Americans have free pass and rights to travel Canada without passport and a clean criminal record, they just want a passport know so we can get back into our own damn country.

Depends on where you live, but I get my passport from the embassy, since I don't live in my country.

For passports like American/British/Canadian/French etc (western passports generally), you could enter many countries visa free. I, however, need a visa to enter the bathroom.

No one is gonna reject you, if you’re a white American you’re safe . Now if you’re Indian, or from Middle East, good luck. Also don’t carry cocaine with you. Just saying .

Those shows are mainly for entertainment and they are looking for people likely to commit fraud
Depends for each country’s requirements. Best consult their websites/embassies

I hate going through immigration with a passion. That part makes traveling almost not worth it for me.

It's a legit royale pain in the ass. You go to post office and get photo taken. Then you submit a Passport request and pay $160 along with an ridiculous amount of proof of identity and residency. Then you wait two to three months for some pencil pushing moron government worker who for all intents and purposes is unemployable in any other field to finally get off their ass and aprove it.

You are American. You have visa free access to majority of the world. Just apply for a passport at your local post office
