Have you ever stayed in an Airbnb and had a terrible experience? Weird rules, things not working, hidden charges, unsanitary conditions and more? What was your experience?
@metaldog I often go out of town on business with associates. Having a house is great for a number of reasons. The costs are much better than hotels when more than 4 people are staying, you can make your own meals (breakfast especially), collaborate with your team more effectively, and entertain guests when needed. But I've been disappointed in the past so I'm super selective now. I'm very careful to read reviews. I'll pay more for quality, but they damned sure better treat me nice or face the wrath of a bad review.
I’ve stayed at several, but all for the one trip in Europe. Only a few complaints but generally all were in good shape. The worst was the shower at one. It was so tiny I was bent in two, and could not turn. It was like it was made for a doll’s house.
I would have used them again in the future, but they went all out Woke.
I stayed in an Airbnb in Italy a few years ago. On the 6th floor with an antique elevator that was very scary. Overall it was okay, but the pillow was very uncomfortable. Friendly people, but not a lot of contact with them.
@metaldog if I wasn't there most likely. I had to complain to the Airbnb host. Luckily there was a big enough safe there that I could put my laptop and passport in.
