The missus officially made it to New York

Naturally, I'm concerned for her safety while she's over there. But she also grew up in the mean streets of LA, so this is probably gonna be nothing for her. Too bad I'm such a worry wart. I'll just be glad when she's back home in a few days and this will all be over... 😓

There are a lot of misconceptions about New York. I grew up in NYC, and I was not in constant fear. I was never close to a drive-by shooting, and I rarely witnessed crimes in progress.
Yes, it's a bit more dangerous than most small towns (Cabot Cove, Maine veing a notable exception), but mostly it's life as usual....not as unsafe as many people outside the city fear.
