In a month I am leaving my island. I haven't been out of the country for years

Is it the right thing? Am I leaving behind something beautiful for something unknown? My boyfriend, my home, my people, the sea.. Why am I travelling really, what is it that i am seeking? don't know but I've booked my tickets and an airbnb for the first 20 days someplace Asian..

@SW-User I've done this a couple of times in my life. Starting afresh was inspiring and allowed me to refocus, but I did have something to land into.. This mitigated my risk and assured me of income.
