What's so bad about Spirit Airlines?

I flew them for the first time today.
Had absolutely NO ISSUES

The 4pm flight left on time.
I had plenty of leg room.
I was more comfortable in the Spirit seat than the American Airline seat. My neck was cramped the whole time on AA.

I mean, yea they charge for bags and don't give complimentary drinks and snacks, but considering you can bring your own snacks from home, I don't see it as a problem. Sure, they don't have in-flight entertainment but everyone has a cell phone. Download a movie at home and watch it on plane like I did. 🤷‍♀️

if the price is good, yo do have a point. those extra little things you might get on some other airlines end up costing a lot. money saved on the flight can go towards doing more activities.

Statistically, they're the most likely to cancel or delay a flight. The cost saving measures I can get behind, nice to have a super cheap option (though after a carry on and a checked bag they're rarely the cheapest). I can't do unreliability though, can ruin a whole trip.

When I'm traveling super light. it's really not a bad choice. My aunt flies them whenever she comes up to visit for the day from Florida, for example
