Love New Mexico

I lived in New Mexico for about a year and it's an amazing state. That big blue desert sky is magnificent to stare at. It feels like it goes on forever. There's low humidity, so not a ton of clouds. The clear night sky makes stargazing a great way to unwind.
But it's not all desert like people might think. You can get some pretty nice skiing done in the area around Taos. The area around Santa Fe is really nice too, because it's all brilliant green forest with a mighty river running through it.
The thing that gets me most is the obsession with green chiles. It's like a religion down there. They put it in everything, and it's in every restaurant. I've had green chiles with eggs, in burritos, on burgers and hot dogs and pizza, they even put it in donuts and ice cream. It's bonkers, but its a good kind of crazy.
I really miss that place sometimes
