Finally I get to go back in my favorite spot in my home country, Palawan waters are the best.

@NotJamieM I have never heard anyone being attacked by sharks there, but there is a specific place where you can go on boat tour to see some whale sharks but they appear only at specific times

@TessDun I'd love to do that too! Whale sharks are huge. (I think they are pretty harmless too). But I love to swim in beaches with such clear water.

@NotJamieM Yes it is perfect for swimming, specially the twin lagoon, where there are warm and cold spots. I don't want to sound like a tour guide, but it is a good experience to be there 😅

@TessDun that sounds absolutely incredible! And trust me, one thing I've learned in my travels is the value of a good local tour guide, either official or not. They know all the best secret places!

@NotJamieM Yes having a local tour guide will help you maximize the experience, and also joining/availing some reliable tour packages.

@TessDun sometimes talking to locals is good too. When I was in Hawaii years ago these girls working in the diner I had breakfast at told me about a path that led to a local swimming hole complete with waterfalls. It was incredible and not on any tourist maps lol.

@NotJamieM Good you were able to find such beautiful place. Yes the locals know best and it's always good to interact with them when travelling to enrich the experience.
