The only problem I have had is they want you to buy THEIR insurance. My credit card offers free insurance for using their card. They will argue with you til the cows come home how it's a better idea to buy THEIR insurance. In order to get out of there I relent.

@curiosi It is probably better to buy their insurance. The reason being is if something happens, you give them the keys and walk away. It is not as easy with your own car insurance policy or even the credit card.
At different times in the year I rent large trucks. I rent very expensive construction equipment. I always buy their insurance, for the reason, I just walk away. The credit card may have limits, leaving you to cover the difference. Your card can be charged to the limit, tying it up. Your auto policy the same. It will be a huge hassle.

People here own cars and trucks. Pack a lunch, fill with has and off you go.
