I want to be home in Berlin before Britain has it's next bank holiday!

I've never really thought too much about how many extra days off we get either here in Britain, or in Germany, or Italy. Someone said that Britain has the most, but I don't know myself. I might investigate while I'm waiting to go out! Another summery day here in London.

Eight bank holidays observed in Britain. Twelve in Germany, and I think thirteen in Italy? No, seven in Italy!!

I want to be home in Berlin before Britain celebrates it's next bank holiday at the end of August! I've just gotta be home by then, before then if I can! It's essential I get back to work, back to my friends!

Franklin Roosevelt declared a bank holiday when the bank runs were happening during the great depression so he could shore up the banks so they would remain in business. Is Germany in that bad a shape they have to call a bank holiday to stop the bank runs there?? 💵

@trackboy Yes I have friends in Berlin, and I like the city very much. Not as much as Rome though.

@helenS what do you like doing in berlin? must be a lot of sights to see! a lot of museums too! have you seen the historic sites of ancient Rome when you visited Rome? Must be a real long covered wagon ride from berlin to rome! bet the horses get hungry!😺
