How much is rent in New Jersey?

My best friend moved to New Jersey seven months ago. She said she REALLY wants me to come live up here and just because she moved doesn’t mean we can’t still be roommates. It will still happen. She said she’s planning to get her own place next year but the thing is, I can’t afford to move out and I want to finish school first. She said just transfer and I’m the ONLY person she trust and only me because the others screwed her over. I’m not even prepared or anything. I would have to get used to the cold and I really don’t wanna live there. It would be fun to be roommates but I don’t know what to think. Don’t think I’m gonna be able to have the money by next year! I need to help my dad with bills and stuff.

Well the good thing about having a roommate is you two can split the rent and other expenses. I understand your dilemma though.

@SubstantialKick yeah that’s true. Depends how much the rent is. She’s having a feeling that she thinks I’m making excuses not to move out and come live in New Jersey. I admire her for not giving up always open to options and have an open mind. She doesn’t give up easy. She said I’m the only one out of our close friends that she trust.

@SubstantialKick they can just look for low income places.

@PetiteJulie01 Like Section 8? Well the problem with that would be finding a safe neighborhood. Much low income housing is located in places where you would not to be out after a certain time of day, especially in New Jersey.
