Setting Off Again! [I Enjoy Travelling]
Its a fascinating thing that people feel a compulsive need to travel, to wander like those ancient hunter gatherers following the food as it grew or could be hunted, discovering the world. How quickly after the expulsion from Eden did the human family spread out across the planet. Places like Stonehenge in England, and the various cumulo in Galicia and Bretagne came into existence. And further afield too!
Mankind has felt the need down the Ages to travel, and perhaps the Earth seemed such a long walk until we started to domesticate the beasts of burden to carry us so we could effectively walk further afield. The wheel was another harnessing to enable us to go further, and the motor vehicle, the jet, taken from the sea, to answer our need to travel further still!
I recognise in myself this need! I have seen lots of Europe, I've been to Mauritius! I'm walking through Spain with my two Best friends, and soon we will be able to set off on the penultimate leg of our journey, Madrid to Santander. Then the last leg will be Santander to Santiago, part of the Camino Frances. It is another long walk across the north coastal lands, not quite as close to the sea as we were on the Barcelona to Gibraltar leg.
