Which places do you recommend seeing on a road trip between Minnesota and Pennsylvania?

Put-in Bay, Ohio is a cool place. Island in Lake Erie. Chicago of course. If you have time take the roads down the Mississippi River to Galena, Illinois before heading east on interstates.

depends on the time of year, how fast you need to get to/from, and funding. I'd kinda wanna go by way of thunder bay.
